The WHS class of 1967 held its 50th reunion on October 14, 2017. We had 147 people signed up to attend with 108 of them being classmates. The festivities were held at the Orange Tree Resort in Phoenix in a beautiful outdoor venue. The night seemed magical in a relaxed and warming atmosphere. The buffet was delicious and most folks enjoyed milling around and talking to one another, catching up on one another’s lives. On Friday night about 70 showed up for an informal happy hour that turned out to be a fun evening.
The reunion committee is grateful that so many showed up for the 50th. It was truly amazing! FIFTY of you cared enough to come all the way from other states and 3 even came from other countries! Classmates came from Switzerland and Canada as well as from many states, including Texas, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Florida, Tennessee, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Alaska, Louisiana, Georgia, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Ohio and California. The Arizona contingency came from our cities far and wide. Classmates came from Sedona, Cave Creek, Show Low, Carefree, Fort Mohave, Sun City, Camp Verde, Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Peoria, Glendale, Tucson, Nogales, Mesa, Tempe, Prescott and of course, Phoenix. The effort you put out to come made this the most successful reunion ever and it just shows what a great class we had and how much we enjoyed one another and WHS! Let’s do it again sometime!
Many thanks go out to the WHS Class of 1967 Reunion Committee comprised of Glenn Wishart, Mike (Snuffy) Smith, Carol Shelton Montgomery, Susan Bell Goers, Elizabeth Winter, Rex Gibbs and Carol Browner. It was a year’s worth of a labor of love and we are so glad that the event turned out to be so much fun.
Here is a picture of most of our classmates who attended our reunion. Some who left early are not in this photo. It’s too bad we didn’t have stairs to stand on to make for a better photo, but it was the best we could do at the time.

So fun to see these pics, although, I didn’t recognize many people. I was unable to attend but have many good memories of Maryland AVe. Grade School and 1st semester of W,H.S. before transferring to Arcadia.
Thank you for all your hard work in making this happen and putting out the website.
